| | I was thinking about it tonight and I realized that I've never missed people as much as I have missed Megan and Alex these past few weeks. They are honestly two of my three best friends and I hate not being able to see them whenever I want. I hate having to call and know that they're not going to be able to come over. | Yeah, no one updates these things anymore. I'll do it, but it won't be filled with any real news.
I haven't been doing anything for the past couple of days. Mainly just wallowing. I will probably continue to wallow for awhile. I've just been sad.
I hate being here. I feel like everyone has someone except for me. I mean, I have my friends and stuff, but it seems like I'm always second choice. Maybe third or fourth in some cases. People just don't prefer me over others, I guess.
I want to leave though. I want the fall to come. I hate this place.

| So, I'm not going to lie. Today was a pretty shitty day.
It started out like this. THERE WAS SCHOOL. That was the first thing that depressed me. Whatever, i made it through school. Barely. I hate school.
Okay, then there was work. Let's just say it sucked. I had to work at grant. Well, not at grant because they had a Y day. By the way, i HATE Y days. Anyway, I've never worked at grant before today. I hate working at new schools because then i never know the kids and it's awkward and uncomfortable and i hate it. So i left sarah a note saying that I wanted to work only at lincoln and washington. Then Sarah showed up at the Y and talked to me. We talked about me working at nasenville tomorrow. I actually don't mind that because megan always used to work there last year and liked it a lot. Plus, I've met Sandy (the woman who always works there) and she seems really cool. So, I dont realy mind that. I'm just really pissed off that I haven't been at Lincoln in over a month. And that's supposed to be where I mainly am stationed. I told her that I really enjoyed working at Washington too because then I get to work with Alex and Tiffany. But I probably won't be working there a lot since Ellen is basically back. Whatever. I just want to go home to Lincoln.
Next thing that depressed me was this. Cristin and Jenna basically talked nonstop about their boy situations. I can't say problems because there really aren't a lot of problems. They just talked a lot about their boyfriends. They both normally talk to me a lot about them, but it just really depressed me because I had absolutely nothing to add to the conversation and then it made me think about how stupid i felt. I just kept feeling like they were thinking in their heads, "oh, poor girl. She doesn't even have a boyfriend to discuss. Or any boy for that matter." Whatever, I just felt really uncomfortable the whole time which I shouldn't have because those two are two of my best friends. You know? It shouldn't be awkward like it was. I don't think they realized it, but that's how I was feeling. Cristin did boost my self-esteem for a bit, though. She said, "Amanda, why don't you have a boyfriend?" "i don't know." "how about adam?" "how about that would never happen?" "whatever. he always says to me, "how come girls don't like me? They never will." "no boys will ever like me." "shut up, you're perfect, don't say that. shut up." I think it's a nice thing of her to think that Adam and I would be a nice fit, but for some reason, I just don't think it's realistic. I'm not lying to you, remember. I would love to date him because he just seems so wonderful. At least Cristin talks him up pretty well. I just think there is absolutely no way that he would ever be interested in me. And that makes me sad. I don't think I'm a bad person so I don't understand how it's so hard for boys to be even slightly interested in me.. I don't get it.
Anyway, Cristin invited me to Karl's sometime this weekend. I figure why not?
I noticed that I write a lot more when I'm depressed. I hope you enjoy it.

| This is a part of my essay we decided to delete. I figured i'd post it in case it was any use to any of you in future essays:
One thing I was thinking about was this. I think santa clause should be our president instead of bush. Mainly because santa clause likes when people are happy. I don’t think santa would ever like to bomb anyone. And I don’t think bush would ever like to give me a present. Thus, ad hock and santa clause are wonderful.

| Let's just remind ourselves of how crappy i feel. My throat is tickling. You know that really annoying tickle you get in the back of your throat. So you try to itch it with your tounge and that really doesn't work. And then you stick your finger in your mouth to itch, but it's just a really awkward feeling. Well, that's what I've been having all day. It's so ridiculous.
I don't want to go to school tomorrow. And I hopefully will be "sick" so i won't have to.
Speaking of tomorrow, tomorrow is my mom's birthday and thursday is my dad's. I blew up a picture of my mom and grandpa from her wedding. It's pretty gorgeous, I must say. For my dad I got him a pair of slippers that have a red "W" (for wisconsin) embroidered on them. He probably will like them. Then i got them 6 episodes of the andy grifith show because i know they love it. and it was only $1 for 3 episodes. Then they can get some use out of the DVD player.
Today I went to the winter concert at Lincoln. A bunch of my kids from kids korner were singing. It was so really fun because i remembered when i had to do that kind of thing. And how mrs. lauterbach (the devil woman) would tell us that we couldn't talk to each other during the program because everyone would see us and we would look stupid. She wasn't wrong. They do look pretty silly when they're talking and laughing and not paying attention. But that's what kids do. I loved every minute of it.
McKenna is my favorite kid. And she always invites me to her concerts and such. Last tuesday I went to her violin concert. She just started playing in the begining of the year, i believe. then she is the one who invited me to this one. McKenna's family just built a new house and they're moving in on the 24th. I really want to get them a house warming gift. I think I'll make a batch of cookies for the family and bring them a card. Then I want to make a fleece blanket with horses on it for McKenna. I want to get some Yu-Gi-Oh cards for Noah. Then I want to get her youngest brother, Isaah, a truck or something. I'm excited for this.
Megan's coming home this weekend. Hopefully baby comes then, too. I can't wait!
THURSDAY IS THE TRUE CHRISMUKKAH!!!! Allie is having a get together. And we all have to bring a generic type of gift so that we can exchange it with anyone. You know, we're doing it like when we were in kindegarten. Where you just pick from a pile of gifts. This is going to be the best Chrismukka ever!!!
I really don't think I'll go to school tomorrow. I feel bad about abandoning my husband, Bart, but I really am not in the mood for having babies. Or being in school. Same difference.
This getting gifts for friends is WAY harder than I thought. I have to get gifts for people who get them for me. So.... Megan, Mel, Scott, Joanna, Jenna. I think those are all the ones. This is VERY VERY hard.
I need to finish my Christmas cards, too. Hmmm. Maybe I should work on that right now. Since i haven't even opened my backpack, and don't exactly plan on it. I think that's what I'll do. Christmas cards.
I need a boyfriend. Love, Actually keeps playing over in my head and that makes me think christmas + love = perfect. So..... i'm only half way there. Really, go ahead. Find me one. I probably am i little picky, but i think you know what I like.

| Well, since my computer is really slow and stuff I was looking in my kitchen. On the bulletin board to be exact. I noticed there are... 4 pictures of Megan Morehouse on it. This is just to assure you all that, yes, Megan Morehouse IS officially a Maassen.
I probably hate my computer because it is a piece.
I'm probably sick right now and I hate being sick.
I probably want baby, NOW! and I was tricked today. This morning they said Mark had a message in the office and I thought it was because Heather was having baby. But it wasn't. shoot!
I'm going to take a nap before work.
